I made this painting when I was trying to come back to painting after starting ADHD medication. When my nervous system became more balanced, I no longer felt like I needed to create just to function. That need to get out the frustration living inside me had always been one of my biggest driving forces to create. Suddenly, I didn't know if I could (or even wanted to) create anymore. 

This was the first painting I started for this collection, but one of the last ones I finished. During that time, my relationship with both the medication and my art evolved.
I chose this title for the entire collection because it marks a shift in my artistry and symbolizes the moment I stepped into a new era and a new relationship with creativity.

Built up through many layers of texture, colour and handwritten text, the painting shows both the inner universe and the outer world, and explores how to reconnect with creativity and yourself.
